Marieke wins gold in Rome! A surprise win in the women's 50m butterfly saw Aussie swimmer Marieke Guehrer returning home as one of Australia's world champions. Another surprise for this golden girl also followed her win, when her boyfriend Jason proposed in Rome.

Marieke Guehrer is back on the Australia Swim Team after a very successful nationals at the 2009 Telstra Swimming Championships. Marieke has been selected for the 2009 Fina World Championships to be held in Rome, later in the year.

Swimwear From Oz owner, Marieke Guehrer, is Australia's newest World Record Holder, smashing the former world mark of 25.31 to 24.99 in Berlin, at the final meet of the World Cup Series.
